My son is 13, I’m 30. The only reason my son hates that I’m a young mom is bc he has phone restrictions, no internet access, and no social media. All of these other parents let their kids do whatever they want. Parents need to wake up

I get a notification when my kids download anything on their phones. And are not allowed any kind of social media. I also check their phones regularly and they are on Life360. I also talk to my kids about why they don't need those apps and tell them that the internet is full of predators just waiting for fresh meat like them. I don't sugar coat anything to them.

Google has apps that have animated 🌽 listed as E for everything so even if you have restrictions they can be downloaded and they do nothing about it. these platforms get away with too much as well.

my teenage takes her phone to school but is lock during school hours. it unlocks after for only 4 hrs in but lock back at 8:30p every night. she doesn't have social media until 14 but is been check and for how many hour is been used

My daughter wants social media but she’s 12 and she says all my friends have it and I’m like well those are not my kids and you are not getting it. I regularly check her phone and she can not download any app without my permission through the phone.
