@madie.franklin: Almost two years since we’ve had a conversation, what I would give for some dad chats right now 😭❤️🩹 #anoxicbraininjury #cardiacarrest #griefjourney #caregiver #thorleystrong
Stupid question. Can he use a screen where he can spell out the words he could say if he could? Or is his brain injury that severe he couldn’t form words? Sorry if this offends at all🩵

Worlds Okayest Mama 💌 :
In sickness in health…. The actual example to that is your mama. She’s an angel. I’ve said this before but I think I’m somewhat local to yall. If I can ever help let me know. Even just taking mama out for coffee to get her out of the house. Yall are a beautiful family!!

They are still teaching you - how to love without condition, how to support while maintaining independence, but most importantly how to never give up when you feel you can't keep going. 🥰

Your parents are demonstrating what it looks like to live the vow ‘in sickness and in health’ - what a beautiful testimony. ❤️

My dad had 2 strokes this past year and it hurts to know that my parents won’t get the retirement life they deserve. He’s had a very similar path as your dad and I’m so impressed by your dad’s improvements. I’ve been a silent follower for a bit but it feels less lonely to reach out to someone who has been through something similar. Sending my love and support to your family.

So amazing! This have been such an incredible journey to follow. I’m sure you and your family have created and got into a routine on how to properly transfer and walk him, but try using the gait belt right around the waist, above the hip region to help him weight shift a bit easier! Either way, amazing!
