@karl_tech1: THE CONGO RIVER SYSTEM: A WORLD WITHIN A RIVER 🌍🌊 @ash_dykes is on the Sangha River, and just looking at its sheer width and endless stretch of water, one question comes to mind: How massive must the Congo River itself be? The Sangha is only one tributary of the mighty Congo River system, yet it looks almost unreal. Imagine standing beside a river so wide that the opposite bank seems to disappear into the distance. Now imagine that this is just one part of a much greater network of rivers flowing through the heart of Africa. The Congo River is fed by an extraordinary network of tributaries, each carrying water from different corners of Central Africa. The Ubangi River drains vast areas of Central Africa before joining the Congo. The Kasai River carries water from the south, including parts of Angola and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The Sangha River gathers water from the forests of the Central African Republic, Cameroon and the Republic of the Congo. Other major rivers, including the Lomami, Aruwimi, Lulonga and Ruki, contribute to this enormous river system. Together, these rivers form one of the greatest freshwater networks on Earth, sustaining forests, wildlife, communities and entire ecosystems. And here is what makes the Congo extraordinary: its basin covers approximately 3.7 million square kilometres. It stretches across multiple countries, supports the world’s second-largest tropical rainforest, and carries immense volumes of water towards the Atlantic Ocean. So, when you look at Ash on the Sangha, you are not simply looking at a beautiful river. You are witnessing one living part of a vast natural system that has shaped Central Africa for millions of years. The Sangha is impressive on its own. The Congo is a whole different dimension. Africa is full of natural wonders that remind us just how much of our continent remains astonishing, powerful and worth exploring. 🌍 Have you ever imagined just how enormous the Congo River must look where these great waters come together? #CongoRiver #SanghaRiver #ExploreAfrica #AfricanWonders #Nature

@Uber San Sebastián @Alex Noe Taday #colta_chimborazo_ecuador #quito_ecuador🇪🇨 #chimborazo_riobamba_ecuador #FashionWeek #tungurahua_ambato_ecuador
