@infoarbitrage: One thing I’ve learned in venture capital is that backing a great founder isn’t enough. You also need to be looking at the right market. An exceptional founder in a limited market may still have a ceiling on what they can build. And even a massive market can go to waste if the founder can’t attract exceptional people and build a great team. For me, it comes down to both: A-level founders and A-level market opportunities. When you get that combination right, the potential outcome changes dramatically.
