What i cannot i accept is that, if nisha is the dark avatar, she could only use one element. Remember, Wan was given the responsibility and ability to bend the four elements. unalaq was not.

I don’t mind if ravaa & vatuu are inside pavi & nisha so long as nisha doesn’t turn evil I’d rather it be like the moon & ocean spirits since we did the dark avatar thing already

I don’t think there is a ‘dark’ avatar in an evil sense, this series is very clearly about balance. I think what’s more likely is that a piece of raava and vaatu lie within nisha and pavi each. I think it’s more about duality than good & evil—a true representation of yin & yang and a reframing of darkness not as something to be feared or scrutinized, but as a necessary counterpart to light; which isn’t necessarily ‘goodness’. they aren’t hostile forces, but necessary counterparts: sun/moon, day/night, passive/active. I believe vaatu & raava reemerged within korra, and like yin and yang, reformed spirits emerged in nisha and pavi vaatu with a seed of raava and raava with a seed of vaatu. because they both existed within korra, that’s why nisha and pavi each can bend 4 elements.

I don’t get the dark avatar theory because the only reason the avatar can bend the 4 elements is from the lion turtles and it being passed down but the dark avatar thingy in the legend of Korra couldn’t bend all 4 elements because they never got it from the lion turtles soooo idk maybe im dumb but I don’t get it

It would be ironic if Pavi is much stronger than Nisha, and that’s the reason she lost her leg— probably saving her from something— and that’s why Nisha is so keen on training and all this improvement, since she wants to get better and stronger because of what happened to Pavi.

Honestly imo I feel like dark avatar is true just not the way I’ve seen people say. Korra destroyed Vaatu and he has to grow off Raava so I feel like while Korra was aging Vaatu was growing inside her and Raava and Vaatu split when Korra died they split into the 2 avatars

I'm all down for the dark avatar idea, except, in Korea vaatu fused with Korra uncle who can only control water. when, where, and how did vaatu collect the other three elements?

The Moon and Ocean fish represent what Vaatu and Raava failed to be. The koi fish worked together to maintain balance, they knew true light or darkness cannot exist alone thus fighting for dominance would just bring nothing. Vaatu and Raava now being together in the avatar cycle makes them what they were meant to be, no longer fighting for dominance.

Ok the only thing I don’t like about this theory is that everyone is literally just ASSUMING nisha is the dark avatar because of her personality. That’s like saying korra would’ve been the dark avatar because truthfully korra and nisha have personality parallels the same way aang and pavi have parallels. She’s a child and is going to handle her emotions immaturely but that does not mean conclude her to have this evil being inside of her because she feels explosively😭

I think the bigger twist would be if pavi is the dark avatar. And that spirit has never been the avatar and that’s why it’s nervous and more reserved it doesn’t know how to be the avatar

Dark avatar theory is lame, having this strong spirit inside you doesn’t give you the ability to bend all 4 elements, wan still had to gain the ability from the lion turtles, when Unalaq fused with vatuu he didn’t gain that ability, if that’s the answer to this it would just be dumb and break the lore
