@complex: Two Phoenix police officers used their own money to buy birthday gifts for a toddler after her father lost his last paycheck to a scam. A caller pretending to be from DoorDash tricked him into entering a code at a kiosk, leaving him with no money the day before his daughter’s second birthday. After taking his report, the officers returned with clothes, toys and a small pink bicycle. The father cried and hugged them when he saw the gifts. [📸: PHOENIX POLICE DEPARTMENT/CBS NEWS ]
