I've seen him eat directly out of the pouch and did great. He does not like the spoon yet so I'd be doing half and half. Half directly out of the pouch and then every now and then put it on a spoon to try. The sucking motion is comforting to him.

Why does she always do package food. Why not make some wholesome food - she’s home all day anyway. She can blend it and feed and ensure it’s iron rich and still full of flavour. Even soups like blended lentil soup or something

Never a warm, homey environment. Parents aren’t sat with him at a table. It’s different every day and no expectations are explained to him, just food suddenly being shoved at him from a jar.

My sister's food therapy did force feeding... (she was born premature with cerebal palsy & developmental disabilities too) ...Now this was in the 90s & at one of the top medical universities in the country..... they may not do it anymore, but they even asked my mom that she might want to step out because it can be scary to the parents... no matter if she cried.. no matter if she threw up.. no matter if she rolled around on the floor.. they kept going. It was actually a spend the night program & I think it was 21 days... that was 35 years ago.. My sister never again struggled with eating after she left that treatment center.... Professional help is so necessary.
