@moviemagicwithbrian: 🌴💔😳 His family receives devastating news and immediately rushes home. But instead of joining them, he lies about losing his passport and secretly stays behind at a luxury vacation destination. What could make a man abandon his family during one of their darkest moments? SUNDOWN follows Neil Bennett, a wealthy British man enjoying a peaceful vacation in Acapulco, Mexico, with his family. Their relaxing getaway takes an unexpected turn when they receive heartbreaking news from home. The family immediately prepares to return to London, but Neil makes a shocking decision. He claims to have misplaced his passport, forcing him to remain in Mexico while the others travel home. But Neil hasn’t lost anything. He deliberately chooses to stay behind, ignoring his family’s increasingly desperate phone calls and refusing to explain his strange behavior. Instead of grieving with his loved ones, Neil moves into a modest hotel, spends his days relaxing on the beach, drinking, and pursuing a carefree relationship with a local woman. To outsiders, he appears to be a man enjoying an extended holiday. But beneath his calm, detached appearance lies something far more complicated. As his family struggles to understand his disappearance, tensions begin rising, and the consequences of his choices slowly catch up with him. The longer Neil remains in Mexico, the more questions emerge about his relationships, his emotional state, and what he might be trying to escape. Why would a seemingly successful man suddenly abandon his responsibilities, wealth, and family? And what happens when the life he’s running away from finally catches up with him? SUNDOWN is a slow-burning psychological drama that explores grief, family obligations, emotional detachment, privilege, and the unsettling desire to escape everything. Starring Tim Roth, Charlotte Gainsbourg, and Iazua Larios. Listed on Netflix. Last day to watch: October 20. #Sundown #Netflix #PsychologicalDrama #FamilySecrets #moviemagicwithbrian
