🚨‼️ EUTHANASIA DEADLINE 10/16‼️🚨 📍INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA 🚨Oliver needs a hero by 5pm 10/16 - Available only to be pulled by a Rescue 🚨 ❗️HE ONLY NEEDS A FOSTER HOME FOR A RESCUE TO PULL HIM!! ❤️ Fostering is completely free! ❗️I do not work at the shelter and I do not have any say in their decisions. Animals being euthanized for kennel space breaks my heart so I do everything I can to make sure it doesn’t happen. I foster at risk/euth listed dogs & cats to keep them safe, post the other at risk animals in the shelter & help coordinate rescue so we can save as many as possible ❤️ ─────── 🩵 Oliver, A366722 📍 Indianapolis Animal Care Services Oliver’s friends say: “Oliver is a sweet guy and very puppyish. He didn’t do well when he went to a busy event because he was scared, however, other than that he is a friendly dog who loves people and just wants to be with them❤️” Oliver is such a smart dog! That’s probably what’s causing him to go crazy in solitary confinement. He knows up (as in jump up on a surface), sit, down, shake, dude probably knows more but we got thru all that. He might know a lot more. He’s definitely a lover. Just needs to get outta there. ─────── Staff notes & info from the Indianapolis Animal Care Services Trello page: Sex: Neutered Male Breed: Pitbull Age: 3 Years old Weight: 49 Lbs. Experienced with Dogs: Unknown Experienced with Cats: Unknown Experienced with Kids: Unknown Available for Rescue: Yes Available for Adoption: No Available for Foster: No Heartworm: Negative Oliver is seeking rescue placement and must find placement by 5pm on 10/16, due to becoming stressed here in the kennels. He has also had multiple incidents during Doggy Day Outs where he became defensive and lunged and snapped at multiple people, he may have been overstimulated or scared. Sounds like he was not doing this once he was back at the shelter despite the lobby having a good amount of foot traffic. We would love to get him out of the shelter and into a less stressful environment, so this guy can relax and get some TLC. ─────── 📍Location: Indianapolis Animal Care Services Adoptions: adoptions@indy.gov Rescues: iacsrescue@indy.gov PLEASE MESSAGE ME IF YOU CAN HELP YOU ARE UNLIKELY TO RECEIVE A RESPONSE FROM THE SHELTER VIA PHONE OR EMAIL The shelter is open daily from 12:00 pm - 7:00 pm ⟡ No appointment is required ⟡ Animals shown until 6:30 pm ⟡ Euthanasia Deadline animals need placement by 5pm to be guaranteed safe A government-issued photo ID is required to walk through the kennels and to adopt.
