with bpd especially, there's this very specific stereotype I've seen. a shed twt alternative cis girl who people want to "ruin their lives". the whole beautiful princess disorder bullshit pushes that narrative. like men can have bpd too and I think a lot of people forget that. having bpd doesn't automatically make someone evil, having any cluster b disorder doesn't automatically make someone evil

I’ve been diagnosed with BPD and can see why people think this. Before spending over a decade doing multiple treatments I was unintentionally manipulative and I was incredibly unstable and intense. People with cluster B personality disorders are often products of hostile environments, they’re going to act like it without intensive intervention. And a lot of people never get the intervention.

unfortunately cluster b havers can and do cause some trauma to others when they're undiagnosed. also i saw a girl like three years back saying "trying to stay when your bpd partner is splitting on you and saying leave is like poking a bear. you cant be surprised when they hurt you." and continued to tell a story where she felt i guess justified in punching her boyfriend? it's just really sad that some cluster b havers (or fakers) will use it as an excuse to do whatever they want and further stigmatize their community.
