@kapiolaniccdentassisting: Our Kapiʻolani Community College Dental Assisting students are continuing to expand their radiography skills as they learn how to properly take extraoral radiographic images using panoramic and cephalometric techniques. 👏🦷 Students are practicing proper patient positioning, equipment preparation, communication, and image-taking procedures while learning how these extraoral images support diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient care. 📷🧠 This training is especially important as our students prepare to complete their three live-patient radiographs for their Dental Radiography Lab course. Working with live patients will give them the opportunity to apply what they have learned in class while building confidence, professionalism, and patient communication skills. 🤝💙 And the countdown continues — our students are now just 5 weeks away from beginning their Clinical Externship Program! 🌺✨ Every radiograph, every hands-on activity, and every patient interaction is helping prepare them for the expectations of the dental office and the responsibilities they will soon take on in the clinical setting.
