We can say something like “I dunno, I feel like six year olds should get to have food if we’re forcing them to be somewhere for 6-8 hours and they have no choice but to be there.” And some “devils advocate” will give me a 5 page essay titled ‘it’s good for the economy to starve kids’ and call me a broke poser for caring in the first place

The funny part to me is how business and world leaders are confused why workers don’t care and people aren’t decent anymore. It’s like well you see when the only thing that matters is owning assets for growing wealth as working hard gets you at best a 2-3% raise, everything is maximized for profit so you need wealth to enjoy a huge part of life encouraging crime since hard work doesn’t work, and we barely ever punish anyone doing crime at the upper rings or at most give them a slap on the hand yeah it’s gonna kinda fall apart eventually [Tears of joy]
