I'm so bad about going to the doctor, especially without insurance. I've had one mammogram in my life (I'm 32) even after I found a lump, I still didn't go. I just assumed it was a cyst because I get those a lot, but it was there for a long time and eventually seemed to go away on its own but left a weird scar, so now it looks like a little crater in the skin. idk it scares me but I don't have money, transportation, and in general I've had bad experiences so going to the doctor is always anxiety inducing 😭

Two years ago, I randomly started having bloody discharge from my right nipple. I got STAT orders for a breast ultrasound and mammogram for the next day. Results came back suspicious. Next thing I know, Im getting a breast MRI. That revealed a small lump in my breast. I had to have a needle biopsy that was thankfully NEGATIVE. But because i have family history of breast cancer in my mom, i have to get an ultrasound and MRI every year and see an oncologist because Im now high risk. Im only 26. Awareness matters!!

Im 33 Dense breasts just had a mammogram and ultrasound to rule it out. Mammograms are not as bad as they make it seem, it is uncomfortable but not awful. Dont be scared to have one.

I am immunocompromised and have dense tissue. I get both, a mammogram, and an ultrasound. no family history, but being immunocompromised increases my risk.
