Taking a vacation to another country, without my spouse, just feels crazy in itself to me. Maybe it's because my spouse and I don't typically have a lot of extra money, so going on a big trip like that, without going together, just feels weird to me. I know not every couple works that way, but I think he needs to truly make sure his wife isn't also upset by him going on a big trip like that without her.
