The niece that was on the Goliath coaster with the man that fell off has said that he passed out on the ride, slammed up against the bar a few times and back into the seat a few times then it threw him out. He was passed out the whole ride. It seems him slamming against the bar made it open up at the end. Maybe another heart attack on the ride? Still the bar should have held up you'd think.

I fell out of my seat at the top of a loop and was lucky to fall right back into my seat at the bottom of the loop. I had to turn 180 degrees in the air to land correctly in my seat. Absolutely crazy.

he's on the larger size so it probably wasn't fully latched. Stop riding when I had a similar issue. after they checked the latch mine popped open suddenly and they came back and relatched it but it was so tight it hurt

They should have some type of safety device which will prevent the ride from leaving the loading station, if all the latches are not secured.

I had a restraint fail at a carnival when I was 8 years old.. I damn near died. I was horrified until the ride stopped. I held on for dear life. I was so grateful when the ride was over. So, latches can fail and open on their own
