and that’s exactly how it’s been playing out so far. This division felt pretty predictable heading into the new season. The only thing that is fairly shocking so far is how well Anaheim is performing. They famously had the worst offseason, so plenty of people wrote them off. I personally was surprised by how many people felt that way because they’re clearly in the easiest division in the league. I felt confident that Anaheim would be okay, even if they’d take a step back from last season. Which side were you on? Lots of people are expecting San Jose to push for a wildcard spot this season. Macklin Celebrini has missed a couple of games but they’ve managed to avoid having a terrible start. It’s already clear that the Sharks have improved a lot. If the young captain stays healthy then I’m sure we all feel pretty confident that it’ll be a really successful season for the Sharks, and that they have huge potential to return to the postseason. It was highly expected that Calgary, Los Angeles, and Vancouver would be at the bottom. Do we all agree that these teams definitely stand no chance for the remainder of the season? It’s sad to be so defeated early on, but realistically most people predicted all of these teams to finish in the bottom ten in the overall standings. I personally had Seattle tagged along with those three previously mentioned teams, but so far they’ve had a solid start.
