@zaida_wears: A few things I have been implementing in my life over the last 3+ years as an anxious overthinking girlie who quite frankly ran out of brain capacity 🫶🏼 1. I thought burn out was glamorous and a sign of hard work but the reality is it’s not. It’s a lack of self care and ability to manage your capacity. It’s okay to say no and important to set boundaries. No one is going to give you a medal for burning out the quickest so what are you trying to prove 🤷🏻‍♀️ 2. I turned all my phone notifications off 3 years ago (other than phone calls) when I was at a very low point with my anxiety. I honestly just found the constant notification, emails, random reminders overwhelming and unnecessary. I now only have selected notifications on and I only turned any WhatsApp notifications back on last week (I’m thinking they will be off again soon 😅) 3. I still find this hard and struggle to rest without feeling unproductive even if I know my body needs this. But I’m working on it 🫶🏼 I would constantly push myself to attend events even if I was completely exhausted because I would feel so guilty. But true friends understand and never hold this against you. They would rather see you at your fullest self than disengaged due to fatigue. 4. Again your body and mind will not thank you if you are constantly exhausting yourself! Now I am working on exercising to nourish my body on days where it’s going to make me feel great afterwards 5. Repeat after me… 👏🏼comparison is the thief of joy 👏🏼 Everyone is on their own time lines and journeys, say in your lane ✨ 6. Chronic over-thinkers will relate to this one. The worry and anxiety around things I can’t control was just taking up too much headspace. Now I acknowledge my feelings around the worry, but if I can’t do anything to change this then I just park it. 7. I think part of this comes down to having a bit of time blindness. But being in a constant state of chaos and disarray needed to stop. I now allow myself plenty of time to get ready for events, buffer time for travel or forgetting things. I’m not perfect at this and my partner does help a lot but I’m getting there. 💗 #selfcaretips #MentalHealth #selflovetips #protectyourpeace #protectyourenergy
