in Germany it costs 400 to 600 Euros and if there is a mistake in your application they just ask for corrections or extra paperwork at no extra cost.

the uk system is a joke I may have to move out of the uk just because the requirements are so stupid and mission impossible which means my wife wont be able to move from poland so I will have to move there. There just greedy with the fees

Between UKVI fees and lawyers fees for my Chinese wife’s spouse visa starting in 2023, we are currently almost £20,000 into this process, so by the time she gets ILR we will be almost £30,000 in fees, all of which could be wasted if Reform or Restore get elected and do away with ILR. It is very clear that the UK government really doesn’t want her here and a significant percentage of the UK population doesn’t either!!

I think it should be cost neutral. If the system costs £1.2m in one year, the fees cover that cost in the next. It’s not something that impacts me but it’s the principle.
