He also said it was wrong to point the finger at Carrick, and that the manager didn't get the backing he deserved. 💰 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘅𝘁 • United have won just 2 of 9 games in all competitions • Wilcox and Omar Berrada spent £155m on first-team players • Karl Darlow, Andrey Santos, Carlos Baleba and Youri Tielemans all arrived Martínez insists it wasn't enough to build on last season, and says the questions belong with those in charge of strategy. 🗣️ 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸'𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲 Asked whether he'd speak to Martínez, he said: "I need to find out a bit more about it before I can say if and what is going to be done." He hadn't seen the interview and wouldn't give a view on whether he'd been backed, but he clearly wants to move on quickly. He put the reaction down to the emotions of the game and said straight after a match isn't the time to discuss it. ➡️ "𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗹𝘆" Carrick pointed to a big game on Sunday and stressed the need to stay focused. 💪 𝗢𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿𝘀 He said they're "hurting", but he praised their effort and commitment and doesn't doubt their togetherness or desire to win. He admitted that results make it easy to think something is deeply wrong. #MUFC #ManchesterUnited
