hottake: phanes means well but they dont have the time to properly take care of teyvat so they make decisions hastily- and the shades misinterpret what they want and go about it in the worst way. (ie how ronova was punishing shezhnaya for making too much progress even though she knew it would go against them, she still did it in their name)

While I am not a Phanes glazer (I actually want the Tsaritsa and Snezhnaya to overthrow celestia to install a new order that doesn't slime out civilizations while still resisting the Abyss via Descenders or some sort), some of the comments here attacking the op for glazing Celestia/Phanes really show that they prefer the dragons… or even god forbid, the Abyss, to rule over Teyvat if it meant Phanes lost and the humans are wiped out. Now, one can make the argument that “the dragons were in Teyvat first” because their grievances are valid. But that does not establish that just because the dragons came first doesn’t mean all humans don’t deserve to exist. Hold Phanes accountable, maybe even some humans as well that participated in sliming out the dragons. But you can’t just say that all humans don’t deserve to exist when they literally didn’t choose to exist in teyvat in the first place. Would you really say that poor Qiqi don't deserve to exist simply because their ancestors spawned in a place that usurped dragons? Even Neuvillette, the Hydro Dragon himself, wouldn’t approve of such stance 😭
