1. Meal prep is key When you’re constantly on the go, planning ahead makes all the difference. I always try to prep meals before my roster starts — overnight oats, protein-rich snacks, or easy frozen meals I can reheat on flights. 2. I aim for 3L of water daily (+ electrolytes) Staying hydrated is non-negotiable when you’re in a dry pressurised cabin for 15+ hours. I always carry a 1L bottle and aim to refill it at least three times during the day. I also add electrolytes on long-haul flights or if I’ve had caffeine, as they help prevent dehydration. 3. No caffeine before night flights This one took trial and error, but skipping caffeine in the hours leading up to a night flight has massively helped my sleep before I fly and when I land. 4. I pack my own food I bring high-protein snacks like protein bars, tuna packs, nuts, popcorn, cheese&crackers, fruit — things that travel well and keep me fuelled. 5. Sleep is non-negotiable I treat sleep like training- it’s just as important. If I get in late from a flight, I’ll prioritise recovery sleep before doing anything else, even if it means saying no to plans. 6. Move when I can On slip, I aim to either hit the gym, or go for a run. Not every day needs to be a “perfect workout,” but movement keeps my body (and mood) in check. I run alot these days as I find weights just too tiring for how fatigued I feel! Running with no pace pressure. 7. Book gyms with classes Group fitness keeps me motivated when I’m too tired to think. If I’m staying somewhere new, I’ll look for a gym nearby with casual drop-ins or classes , it helps me commit and also adds structure after long flights. 8. Grocery shop as soon as I land I try to go straight to the supermarket when I land and stock up. It helps me reset quickly and avoid relying on takeaway for every single meal. Fresh produce, protein, and snacks I can prep with little effort are my go-tos. A special shoutout to those juggling night shifts, full time jobs, families, kids or all of the above. Showing up for your health and goals while managing so much behind the scenes is nothing short of inspiring. You’re doing better than you think 🫶🏽 #flightattendant
