I used to accept the “be here 15 mins before shift for handover” …… not any more. You want me in 15 mins early, you pay me for 15mins x 5 days x 52 weeks that’s 65 hours a year I’d be working for free

As long as you can do what you need to do and be on the shop floor / room etc that your working on/in then come 2 mins 20 mins before I don’t care. However if your not where your meant to be at the time stated for you shift then you late !
