Hey! I’m a tattoo artist! Your elbow seems super swollen which is so normal- also it looks perfect in your last post. It’s best to have it centred when your arm is straight/ relaxed. It will warp no matter how you place it as that’s the nature of an elbow tattoo. But I wouldn’t panic! It looks perfect with your arm straighter!!

honestly arm tattoos always look weird from different angles bc of how our arms are so flexible. -a tattoo artist

Elbow stencil are the worst to place. If you look at it with your arms straight it’s probably centered, but will inevitably look different when you bend it or turn your arm. Take a photo of your back while standing straight. If it’s still not centered then yeah you can be pissed 😬

I think it's just because your bending your arm, as the skin pulls and moves, with it down I'm sure it looks centred!

It’s normal. We stencil based on the positioning of the body when it’s in a resting position. Moment you start bending your arm and moving it , it’s gonna look off center

Tbh it looks better like this, centered when straight. And when you show it to others just turn your arm around. Cool tattoo!

Before you get any forearm tattoo you need to realize it's not going to look the same from every angle because you have two bones that twist in your forearm

I’ve never really looked at my elbow tattoo, and I think I’m OK with not knowing if it’s perfectly centered because if it isn’t, I’m gonna be annoyed lmao

It’s not going to be centered as soon as you bend your arm! I’m a Tattoo Artist also have an elbow tattoo like this it’s just how it goes when you place art on moving parts of the body

mine looks like this when i bend my elbow but its perfectly placed when my arm is straight. if it was centred around your bone when your arm is bent it would look goofy and wonky 90% of the time

Idk why people don’t pay more attention when the stencil is put on before they start tattooing 🙄
