@ghanagoldbod: The Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod), in partnership with the Ghana Armed Forces and the Forestry Commission, is restoring forest reserves degraded by illegal mining. Reclamation works covering 80 hectares are currently underway this year, and the programme will expand next year to a further 150 hectares across 30 forest reserves. At the GoldBod, we hold firmly that no amount of foreign exchange is worth a lost forest. Gold must create value for Ghana without destroying the land on which our communities depend, and we remain committed to building a gold economy that is responsible, sustainable and beneficial to every Ghanaian. #GoldBod #GhanaGold
