I also think we’ve also conflate “creating change” with goals. In the context of sins, the goal is to stop the sin. The change you need or we should strive for are the things leading up to sin. If you find yourself listening to music, the change might be deleting your Spotify account, hanging out with crowds who don’t discuss it, being in environments where Quran is played out loud.
