3 months in - what have I learned?  Honestly, I haven’t been anywhere near as consistent as I would have liked over the last 3 months but that changes now. I’ve managed to land 2 paid UGC jobs - one through pitching and one through an inbound enquiry. Not loads, but considering I haven’t been as on it as I could have been, I’m actually really happy with that. I’ve mainly been pitching myself directly to brands because I’m quite niche when it comes to the products I’m willing to create content for. I only want to work with brands and products that align with me (health, wellness, natural, low-tox etc). I have signed up to one UGC platform, although I haven’t really utilised it yet (I did spot a job on there this week that I might apply for though). So, based on everything I’ve learned, my focus moving forward is: 1. Post more on TikTok and make my content much more brand-focused. I want brands to be able to land on my profile and immediately see what I could create for them. 2. Set myself a weekly pitching target - I was actually pretty lucky with my first pitching success as the collaboration came after just a couple of days of pitching! So I want to be much more consistent with this. 3. Sign up to more platforms - I’ll still focus on pitching and getting inbound enquiries, but I think it's not a bad idea to have a few different avenues open. The biggest thing I’ve noticed is how much more I understand UGC now compared to 3 months ago. My videos have improved SO much, I understand what brands are actually looking for, and I feel much more in a flow with the whole process and creating content. Now I just need to be more consistent! I’m genuinely so excited to see where this goes and I’m determined to give it my best shot. If you’re also on your UGC journey, let me know where you are currently at.
