For those: I am German and the bank owns the card. They can confiscate the card when they have reason: this can happen if you own the bank to much money in debt and the bank terminates the account or if the bank has a suspicion for criminal activity. He can file for a dedicated report and go a normal way. Just sitting there and demanding it back will bring nothing because the card is property of the bank.
