My dad was dying of lung cancer, he was on his last days, back home. He asked me for a cigarette. Of course my mother and brother were aghast at the thought. He only lived one more day, and I still regret, 40 years later, not giving him that damn cigarette.

They changed the ending of the movie versus the book. The book ending wasn't as realistic, but it was so much better. I was so pissed in that movie theater.

My 83 yo Great Uncle was Dying of Kidney Failure and all he wanted was to drink one last beer with the guys.. my Aunt said no . My brother's and I snuck him one . Happiest I ever saw him in the last years of his life . He passed 3 days later I still have that Bottle cap. He told me sometimes the fights over and you just gotta live while you can . Cheers man

My grandpa was on his death bed begging for one last sip of beer and for an ice cream but everyone ignored his wishes since he was dying of diabetes related illness… my mom snuck a 40oz and frozen yogurt into his room behind my aunts back. He passed away 2 days later and she’s very glad she listened to him and we got to see the closest thing to a smile he could give us at the time
