The bird tail is such a smart interpretation for his concept art! It always felt like they were referencing something for his sillhouete in his concept art but I couldn't put my finger on what it was. Im guessing the more longer cape / sleeve thing is supposed to lean more onto the bird's wings

I feel like they didn't choose his concept because they wanted his clothes to still look like Scaramouche in some ways, they changed details so it could be something original yet still shows his past self, his concept art however looks completely different from Scara, so Ig they wanted a part of his past with him (still I'm really sad that his concept got abandoned, hope we get something like that as a skin)
