@carbon_oak_studio: A few years ago, I saw an urban sketcher using diluted ink straight from a water brush and thought that was such a cool idea. So obviously, I had to try it myself. I loved it, but there was one problem. I switch between art supplies a lot, and whenever I came back to the brush, the ink had usually separated from the water and left behind this grainy residue that clogged it. After destroying one too many Pentel water brushes, I gave up on the whole thing. Then I came across a comment suggesting distilled water instead of tap water, and honestly, it makes so much sense! So if you want to try sketching with diluted ink in a water brush, this might save you some frustration.
