@hearmeoutnews: The BBC have faced criticisms online after the announcement of a two-part documentary on J.K Rowling. Many have called out the broadcasting company due to J.K. Rowling’s anti-trans views. As many pointed out LGBTQ+ shows the BBC has recently cancelled including ‘Drag Race UK’, ‘I Kissed a Boy’ and ‘I Kissed a Girl’. The BBC have also been scrutinised after censoring the Trans supporting “Protect the Dolls’” shirt worn on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ by Bethany Antonia. As the BBC defended their decision saying it was due to taking the “appropriate steps are taken to reduce the inclusion of any overt branding or slogans that may be present, regardless of the wording or statement in question.” #bbc #jkrowling #harrypotter #lgbtqia #transrights
So it's fine to fund another 50 documentaries about murderers we already seen plenty of times get documentaries but if it's about someone who has a very interesting life and genuinely deserves one made because of a few transphobic comments that's drawing the line woke people need to get a grip 🙄
