when million dollar machines break down and there is no tech support to call at 2:30am things hit different than on day shift. no outside help, nowhere open to get parts we may need. you work with what you have amd who you have at the time. we tend to find very creative ways to make things run again when they probably shouldn't but when downtime costs $3,000 per minute.....you do what you gotta do....especially when im the maintenance supervisor and it all falls on me smh

we have these chambers at my job and they like to go down and not work during the night and almost every time they do our departments kinda like a maintenance team but they don't get paid as maintenance has them fixed before 1st shift comes in

yep I'm an operator but learning my machines maintainence clamps, hoses , etc clamp assembly lol so muchhhhh oohhhh and little parts big parts so much

We got A B C D crew at our work A and B are day shift and C and D are night shift I’m on C Crew. They have more people but night shift have less people but we seem to get more product done in our night. And so true don’t know how many times I got into work that we find a problem day crew didn’t catch and we got to fix it for them.

we do more then day shift working nights none of the big boss come to see you because they do not went to be there every thing we have less people and we do more work

Night shift is the superior shift. We have to do the same if not more with less. On daylight they have EHS, Management, HR, security, basically anybody you could possibly need. Night crew, got each other. 😅 Thats where the trauma bonding really starts to happen
