@small.town.witch0: Psalm 46:10 (NIV) “Be still, and know that I am God.” Being still doesn't mean sitting on a bench waiting for God to do something. Sometimes stillness is found in the middle of life's greatest turbulence. I've learned that every season of this human experience offers us an opportunity to grow. Some seasons are gentle. Others will bring us to our knees. When I was grieving, navigating investigations, and walking through the legal system, I wasn't afraid. I was angry. And anger is powerful energy. I learned to use that energy to keep moving, to stay alive, and to do what needed to be done without projecting my anger onto everyone around me. My faith was never in a person, an institution, or a particular outcome. My faith was in a God who could and would, even when I had no idea what His plan looked like. I was busy, but I was still. Still in my knowing. Still in my trust. Still listening for His direction. Because stillness isn't always about stopping. Sometimes it's about knowing when to move, when to speak, when to listen, and when your assignment is complete. I learned that following God also means knowing when to step aside and allow someone else to fulfill their assignment. We aren't called to control every outcome or carry everyone else's journey. We are called to listen, trust, and follow His lead. You can be still while your entire world is moving.
