Apparently we’re spending the week in a haunted house, Fresties. This is for @Amanda | Bonvivant Adventures Haunted House Walkthrough - Fragrance edition. So of course I’ve decided to ad another challenge on top because why not make it more complicated? I love the idea of a fragrance tray and visiting this house exclusively for one week is as close as I’m going to get because I’ve too much ADHD to narrow it down to one tray. But in all honesty, I’ve been neglecting one of my favorite houses, @Guerlain so we’re doing this challenge with fragrances from their collection. Today’s room is HAUNTED GROUNDS, and I need only one note from the prompt to get through the gates. Earthy is the note I chose. I know what you were thinking. Guerlain? You have the best earthy note, patchouli. AND your favorite patchouli is from Kriegler. I was thinking the same - but that’s too easy. I chose Angélique Noire. Angelica brings this beautiful green, botanical bitterness, while cedar gives it that woody backbone. Earthy without being too literal. Then Guerlain does what Guerlain does and wraps everything in that gorgeous vanilla. And who doesn’t love a vanilla? I do t want to know - it makes my heart sad. It smells less like I’ve been rolling around in the forest and more like I’ve wandered into an abandoned French garden after dark. The ivy has taken over. The trees are moving a little too much considering there’s no wind. Something definitely just made a noise behind me. Am I leaving? Absolutely not.
