@brianreallychicago: The former Joseph Schlitz Brewing Company tied house located at Wood and Division Streets (1801 W. Division St.) in Chicago's Wicker Park / West Town neighborhood was built between 1900 and 1901. History and Context The Tied-House System: Around the turn of the 20th century, intense competition among brewers and growing temperance pressure led the Milwaukee-based Schlitz Brewery (managed locally by Edward Uihlein) to buy prime real estate and construct upscale, company-owned taverns. These "tied houses" sold exclusively Schlitz products and were designed to elevate the respectability of the neighborhood saloon. Architecture: Designed in the German Renaissance Revival style, the landmark building features a prominent corner turret and a colorfully painted terra cotta Schlitz belted globe insignia facing Division Street. Landmark Status: The City of Chicago officially designated the building a Chicago Landmark on May 4, 2011. Present Day: The historic building continues to operate as a neighborhood establishment and is currently home to Mac's Wood Grilled. on that house there was an onion dome over the entrance. during the late 60s it was removed due to it was falling apart. you would think the dome would be restored since the neighborhood went upscale.

While Schlitz introduced the Tied Houses to the U.S., many other breweries then followed his lead. Are there any tied houses in Chicago that are from these other brands? (possibly Pabst, Miller, maybe Old Style, etc).
