@allhandsandhearts: When flooding swept away Tribhuwan Trisuli Secondary School in Nepal, Principal Rajendra Dawadi helped save more than 900 students as they lost their school building. Today, the focus is on helping those students return to learning. At the DUDBC (Department of Urban Development and Building Construction) office premises, the All Hands & Hearts team is working alongside local masons and volunteers to build three temporary learning classrooms, expected to serve Grades 11 and 12, where student numbers are higher. Using sturdy truss structures, plywood interior finishes, and corrugated tin exterior cladding, the team is creating functional, weather-protected learning spaces. The construction also includes plumbing, electrical systems, and dedicated toilet facilities. Rebuilding a school takes more than putting up walls. It means restoring a place where students can learn, teachers can teach, and the community can begin to move forward. Together, we’re working to get students back into the classroom as soon as possible.
