@sassywiththesaviour: I spent so long trying to make myself look better, when what I really needed was to understand who I am in Christ. The gospel reminds us that we don’t have to earn love, approval or acceptance by changing how we look. Jesus already demonstrated our worth through what He did on the cross. Makeup isn’t the problem. But when I started to realise how much I depended on it to feel beautiful, confident and comfortable in my own skin, I knew something in my heart needed to change. btw this is a personal conviction. ppl who have experienced this, myself included, are not saying that wearing makeup is wrong. for me, i was convicted because i didn’t like myself without it, couldn’t even leave the house, etc. it’s about God helping you love yourself more & being free from it 🤍🤍

You’re beautiful. I struggled for years with hormonal acne and used makeup as protection from my insecurities. God led me to do the same thing for a season of my life. I later learned that my acne was linked to constant stress and anxiety. Through inner healing and taking authority over my thoughts, my skin improved. Now I don’t wake up worrying about covering imperfections or fixating on my skin. I share this to say: God’s correction is so worth it. He knows you and has the answers, even when they don’t make sense right now. Now, when I go to an event and want to put on makeup, I can enjoy it. Also, I don't feel stressed about going out without makeup. I'm proud of you for following Jesus and again you are stunning!
