@heyokihistory: Sturmtiger: The 68-Ton Tank Built to Destroy Buildings The Sturmtiger was Germany's answer to city fighting. Alkett built it on rebuilt Tiger I chassis, replacing the turret with a heavily armored casemate and a 380 mm rocket-assisted mortar adapted from a naval weapon. Each round weighed up to 376 kg and was designed to bring down a fortified building with a single hit. It was also slow, heavy and difficult to reload, and only 14 rounds fit inside. Just 18 were built, and several were destroyed by their own crews in 1945. Two survive today, in Munster, Germany and Kubinka, Russia. Tags #sturmtiger #ww2 #History #fyp #animation
