Telling people certs help get jobs is the wrong way to go, the job market for IT changed so much these last few years that having experience and at least an AS degree is absolutely needed over certs especially lower level positions.

Easy to say, but hard to do. Knowing what to do and actually doing it are too very different things. - lots of people never get past the Home lab
