@pawportunities_rescue: Tooter has faced death twice in the past year. All by himself. No friend around to listen, family member to support him, or children giving him a purpose beyond himself. I can’t even begin to imagine the inner strength that must have taken. He found himself in a high kill shelter. He was saved by another rescue. Then he was positive for heartworms, which he has survived the treatments for. He has been living in a shelter since the end of January 2026. I really want to find him his forever home before he comes up on his 1 year anniversary there. He’s a sweet guy, knows basic commands, and walks well in a heel position. He has not shown any issues with other dogs, and has ignored any cats that have crossed his path. It has got to be exhausting to continue putting a smile on your face day after day, when your future is unknown. All it takes is for 1 person to say yes. One person can change Tooters entire world. If you’re interested in opening up your heart and home to Tooter, please text 816-935-2111. He is not in our care yet, but can arrive on the 25th if we can find foster. Fosters must live within an hour of Blue Springs, Missouri and need to be able to pick up between 5-7 pm Sunday October 25th. (Adopters can live anywhere!) #pawportunities #fosteringsaveslives
