@scottsbasslessons.com: Mike Dirnt dropping bombshells in our latest video 🤯 You may have thought the classic Green Day album 'Dookie' was recorded on his Gibson Grabber G3, nope. It was mostly tracked using a 1985 Fender Precision w/ PJ pickups & the iconic 'Longview' bass line was recorded using a Gibson Les Paul bass. Anyone else's mind slightly blown by this?

DrawdeTrauts :

Jerry Finn is a fucking legend

RidicTok :

Kinda weird how sharp his memory is with all his recording gear. A lot of people don’t remember anything about what they played on any given album and Mike can go track for track.

Jerry Finn was the GOAT. Single handedly responsible for 90s pop punk sound. RIP

Jobe :

Mike Dirnt has one of the most solid bass sounds ever.

user29909 :

This is world-shattering! Has he contacted the press and contacted all the world leaders?

Ptnbgr :

Now the bass is worthless [Tears of joy]

Seb :

And the retake of chump and longview happened cuz Reprise didn't like how they choose to end Chump. Originally Chump didn't fade into Longview, it had a different ending:)

ElSergius :

Uno de los mejores bajistas del mundo 😂

nick :

honestly he has great taste. idk why anybody gave t-birds the time of day when rippers and grabbers were out here sounding like that

Sal Rodriguez :

Jordan Bruce :

this is shocking

musehobo :

Always too much emphasis on the guitar, also too much emphasis on amp. What pedals are they using? And more importantly how was it recorded? Mic? Compression? Mixing? It all adds up to not being important.
