In May 2023, I started a social media account and began learning affiliate marketing while working full time in healthcare. I learned how to create helpful content, explain what I was recommending, and earn commissions when someone purchased through my affiliate link. Here’s something I wish I’d understood sooner: you don’t need to make every post about a product. Answer a question. Explain something you’ve learned. Share an experience that helps somebody feel understood. Give people a reason to trust you. That’s what I worked on, little by little, around my job.
