((This is my opinion, but the facts are there) I want to start by saying that the only reason I made this reel is because I received so many messages asking me to share everything that had been sent to me. And quite frankly, this has been one of the biggest disappointments I’ve seen. I’ve never been the biggest fan of this girl because of things she’s said publicly in the past, but I was genuinely willing to give credit where it was due. Creating a space where women can feel safe, empowered, and comfortable working out is something I will ALWAYS support. Women deserve that. And I initially thought what she was doing was amazing. But what I will never understand is how you can build a business, promote inclusivity, and profit from a community that has supported you, while openly supporting someone whose rhetoric and policies have repeatedly targeted that very same community. You cannot preach safety, empowerment, and inclusivity while turning a blind eye to the harm being done to the people who helped build your success. You don’t get to capitalize on our culture, our support, and our money while standing behind someone who has made so many of us feel unwelcome in our own country. If that’s where your loyalty lies, then perhaps you should focus on attracting the audience whose political values you actually align with instead of continuing to profit from a community you’re willing to turn your back on. And the saddest irony is that some of the very people you’re trying to align yourself with may never fully accept you for who you are or where you come from. As a Latino, watching people from our own community support individuals and policies that actively work against us is heartbreaking. Our culture is not a marketing strategy. Our community is not something you get to use when it’s financially convenient. You cannot claim to stand with us when it benefits your business and stand against us when it comes to your beliefs. Do better. Our community deserves better. And we deserve to know exactly who we’re supporting with our hard-earned money @blankita 💗 @Athena Fitness Club 💗 #dfw #fortworth #fy #foryou #foryoupage
