Twin Dad of Nicu babies born at 30 weeks….. it was 💯 worth it for us. It gave us a little piece of mind. We still use them at 10 months old and I love the fact that is tells me if they are asleep or awake and tracks how long they sleep etc.

100000% worth it! Such a piece of mind for this semi anxious mama. I just had my 2nd baby and the owlet has been going strong for over a year and a half now.

Currently in a study with my son to see if the owlet reduces maternal anxiety therefore decreasing the amount of ER visits. I had a 33 weeker, never required oxygen. We were discharged at 40.6. Would I pay $300 for one when he never required oxygen? Probably not. But if had he required oxygen and already had compromised lungs- I would pay the $300 if nothing more than peace of mind. Although… I do not like that you can’t set the parameters… I want to know before it drops THAT low. And the base has to be in the room with the baby so if baby sleeps in yalls room then that’s great but if not then you have to rely on your phone alarming you for the alarms. But it is what it is. I would entertain getting a used one. I’ve seen them on vintd and Facebook marketplace for little to nothing.

Yes extremely worth it! Saved my babies life. His went off in the night, took him to the ER. His oxygen was at 74% and he ended up being admitted and put on oxygen for 9 weeks.

Absolutely loved the owlet!!! I got one off of amazon that box was opened but not used, so it was on sale a little bit and it worked perfectly. Only had a few times that it went off and it never bothered me cause I’d rather her be safe with a false alarm! I also loved it when she was sick so I could monitor her and if she had a fever or anything. Highly recommend!

Hiiii! I originally didn’t buy one/didn’t have it on my registry because of all the negative talk about it, but the night he was born in the hospital I spent the entire time awake staring at him making sure he was breathing. My husband decided it would be a worthwhile purchase just so I could rest knowing that it would wake me up if something was wrong. My baby had zero complications, so I can’t imagine how I’d feel if he did! I’ll always recommend it, and I think it’s worth the money for peace of mind 🩵

It went off for my son (he was sick with the flu) and he ended up being admitted for 2 days in the hospital for respiratory failure. My daughter was born with pulmonary hypertension and is such a relief that I have the owlet for piece of mind.

I love it! It helps me sleep so much. So far I’ve had a few alarms when she’s fussing during a diaper change but never when we are sleeping!

Totally worth it! I would take a thousand false alarms any day over waking up to a dead baby. Some say it caused them more anxiety but it was peace of mind for me. I had a preemie and could finally sleep at night once I started using it

We used it religiously for the first 1.5 years. We had 2-3 red alerts ever and both times he was in a VERY VERY deep sleep and hard to wake. I regularly wonder if it saved him. We will use 100x over with our next. We would just check to make sure it was working before bedtime and then wouldn’t check it unless it alarmed. Never had any false alarms.

I bought one but couldn’t use it unfortunately. The baby would kick all the time and it would alarm saying no connection despite it being tight on her foot. I got tired of the alarms so in the closet it went.

As an anxious girl SO many people told me not to get it. We use it religiously. I had a similar experience as another mom in the comments, it went off (red) when he was like 3 weeks old and he was in super deep sleep. I will use it until he outgrows it and then with any subsequent children🥹

My friend just caught her 7 week olds oxygen desat, and she was able to take her into primary’s suction clinic. She said besides some accessory muscle use and some tachypnea she wouldn’t have known she was having desats. She said she was so grateful to have the owelet
