@naehasareen: MEET DIEGO — PART 2: YOUR DESK JOB SHOULDN’T BECOME YOUR POSTURE 💻 Diego went from working in retail and being on his feet most of the day… to spending hours at a desk. And that transition can be a big one for the body. When you’re sitting and working on a computer for long periods, it’s common to start noticing things like: ✅ Neck and upper-back tension ✅ Low-back stiffness ✅ Tight hips ✅ Shoulder fatigue ✅ Feeling stiff when you first stand up But here’s the important part: There is no single “perfect posture” you need to hold all day. Your body likes movement and variety. A few simple desk habits can help: 🪑 Change positions regularly 🚶 Get up and walk throughout the day 💻 Keep your screen at a comfortable height 🦵 Avoid staying locked into the exact same seated position for hours 💪 Keep exercising and strengthening outside of work 🧘 Move your neck, shoulders, hips and back throughout the day One of my favourite reminders for desk workers is: Your best posture is often your next posture. Chiropractic care can also be one part of an individualized plan to help improve joint mobility and reduce feelings of stiffness — but what you do during the other hours of your day matters too. Diego may have traded the retail floor for a desk… but we’re making sure his body still remembers how to move. 🙌 PART 2 of Diego’s 4-part patient series. 📍 Peak Rehab — Kennedy Medical Centre 2 Kennedy Rd.
