@modernmomuniversity: The fastest way to your kid's brain is through their feet. The soles are packed with touch and pressure receptors that tell the brain where the body is and whether it's safe to settle. But socks and cushioned shoes all day give the brain almost nothing. Kids who grew up mostly barefoot had better balance and jumping skills than kids who grew up in shoes. What we do at home: 🔷 Slow, firm rolls with a spiky ball, heel to toes 🔷 Pressure, not tickle 🔷 A few minutes after school or before homework Kid always pushing their feet into you, stomping, kicking the table? Their body is asking for more input. My Sensory Seeker Survival Toolkit is at the link in my bio. You need to target the specific neurological release points on your head, neck, and face. Massaging these areas stimulates the vagus nerve and triggers the release of serotonin and endorphins, effectively shifting your brain from a stressed "fight-or-flight" state into deep rest.
