@knicksdailydrop1: EVERYBODY’S WATCHING THE STARS. BUT WHO’S WATCHING HIM? Jalen Brunson. Karl-Anthony Towns. OG Anunoby. Mikal Bridges. Josh Hart. These are the names that dominate the conversation whenever Knicks Nation talks basketball. But while everybody’s watching the stars, there’s a young player quietly trying to make his mark. MOHAMED DIAWARA. And after what I saw against Toronto, I think it’s time we started paying attention. The Knicks got embarrassed 148–98. There’s no way around that. But even in an ugly loss, you can find something worth watching. And Diawara gave us exactly that. 🔥 VS. TORONTO RAPTORS 🏀 13 POINTS 🎯 3-FOR-7 FROM THREE 💪 3 REBOUNDS 🎯 5-FOR-10 FIELD GOALS 🧠 ZERO TURNOVERS ⏱️ 29 MINUTES Those aren’t superstar numbers. But that’s not the point. THE POINT IS OPPORTUNITY. When the Knicks rested their regular starters, Diawara got a chance to show what he could do. And he responded with confident shooting, smart decisions, and a willingness to contribute. 👑 KDD ISM | SOMETIMES THE BEST INVESTMENT IS ALREADY ON YOUR BENCH. Here’s something I’ve been thinking about. We’re always talking about trades. Always looking for the next big signing. Always wondering who the Knicks need to bring in. But what about the players already wearing orange and blue? What about developing the talent we’ve already invested in? I’m not saying Diawara is ready to become a regular rotation player. I’m not saying one preseason performance makes him the next breakout star. BUT I AM SAYING HE DESERVES TO BE WATCHED. Because there’s a difference between a player who has potential and one who’s beginning to understand how to use it. Diawara didn’t force his way into the spotlight. He simply took advantage of an opportunity. And that’s how young players begin earning trust. Now here’s the challenge. Can he do it again? Can he defend consistently? Can he make those same decisions when the competition gets tougher? Can he contribute when Brunson, KAT, Bridges, OG, and Hart are all on the floor? Because championship basketball isn’t just about having five stars. IT’S ABOUT HAVING THE RIGHT PLAYERS READY WHEN THEIR NUMBER GETS CALLED. And if Diawara keeps developing, the Knicks might discover that one of their future contributors has been sitting right in front of them. 💎 EVERY GEM STARTS OUT UNPOLISHED. The question is whether the Knicks can develop this one into something special. 🗽 KNICKS NATION, LET’S TALK! Does Mohamed Diawara deserve more opportunities this season? Could he eventually become a valuable part of Mike Brown’s rotation? Or do you think he still needs more development time? 👇 DROP YOUR ISM IN THE COMMENTS! 📲 READ. COMMENT. LIKE. SHARE. FOLLOW.
