but the crazy part is he didnt have to work the second set of 7 yrs before getting Rachel. he waited till his honeymoon was over with Leah and got Rachel as well and then worked the next 7 yrs! we did a study on this as to why it happened this way and there was a really great lesson in it and I need to go back and do it again and remember what my notes said

I just watched a video where someone pointed out that he did not have to work another seven years after the initial seven years before he got to marry her… It was probably more like seven days and then he worked seven more years

Heads up, he waited until after the wedding week and then married Rachel before he worked the 7 years. So he married them both in like a week. Both women represent the 2 covenants where in the first covenant you worked for the Law, but never actually received salvation and in the second covenant we receive salvation first (praise Jesus!) and then we work because of the free gift we received.
