I pretty much gave up on buying a house, my mom sold the house and now my brother and I help pay rent on a much bigger house in a nicer area.

Literally every other country still celebrate and embrace multigenerational homes. Boomers were greedy and wanted homes to themselves, so they pushed for kids to leave ASAP. There’s nothing wrong with staying with parents if you’re Able to.
