I think Ezra is absolutely incredible but I think the reason the judges are afraid to critique him is because they’re afraid the audience will twist it into ableism. They have so little time to give their feedback that inevitably fans can/will misconstrue that, so they just lean heavily into the praise.

I agree with all thing Carrie Ann except her inconsistent scoring. 0 reason Amber, Harry and Tyler got 8s… Connor and Tyler should have been scored the same and if you’re mad Connor didn’t samba enough then you can’t score Harry higher for also not doing samba

THANK YOU. Literally allllll of this! Joe killed it, Jenna for sure needed to be called out bc it was 110% not a Samba. Also, the Jackson hate is getting so old. He is clearly trying. And Amber getting the same scores as Tyler? Freaking jokes.

all of this is so fair! my only problem with CAI's lift policing is that she has, to Val's face in a previous season, said that a legal lift is if Val wasn't lifting his partner and he wasn't... just like Jenna and Harry

Thank you on the Ezra point. I adore him, but all of his dances have had clear arwas for improvement that they just never mention, which only hurts him because he can't fix something if he doesn't know it's an issue. It almost feels like they're scared to critique him even though it's MORE offensive to score and critique him softer than anyone else. On Carrie Ann...I think her critique was valid but the delivery was unprofessional. Snidely reading the definition instead of explaining which move was the issue came off as rude instead of strict.
